TITLE: 156 Words OR The Shortest MulderSuicide Ever Written AUTHOR: Maaluu (mwilcox@ngs.org) SPOILERS: None RATING: PG SUMMARY: See text below. DISCLAIMER: The usual. 156 Words OR The Shortest MulderSuicide Ever Written As was his wont, Mulder ditched Scully one afternoon to pursue a lead. He did this often to protect his partner from the dangerous situations he always managed to get himself into. Because he loved his Scully, like a man loves a woman, not like a person loves a friend. When Mulder returned two nights later, he went to Scully's to talk about it. However, it was Scully's mother who answered his knock. "Fox, I'm sorry. While you were gone, Dana was abducted and killed by a madman who was looking for you." Mulder dropped onto Scully's sofa, where he had spent many a restful night, and burst into uncontrollable sobs. Maggie, who didn't blame Mulder for Dana's death because she knew they had shared a true love, tried to comfort him. But when she went to the kitchen to get him some water, Mulder pulled out his Sig Sauer and shot himself in the head. The End -- It's not that I'm slipping in my opinion of Fox Mulder. I've decided that if my sister is going to work in the FBI, I would rather have him by her side than about 90 percent of the guys I could name. He's laid down his life for her, I appreciate that in a prick. --Bill Scully, jr., "By Her Side: That Voice" by Vickie Moseley
